About the Joe Busam Foundation

The Joe Busam Foundation was established in 1998 for the benefit of mentally, physically and emotionally handicapped individuals through the discretionary distribution of funds by the Trustees to organizations which provide for the support or care of these individuals and are tax-exempt under Section 501 c (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Joe Busam Foundation provides financial assistance when hardship is evident for dire living conditions or for investigation, litigation and/or counseling as result of pedophile molestation.

Mission:
The Joe Busam Foundation exists in the memory of Joey Busam, a mentally handicapped 44 year old who was sexually molested by a pediphile and lost his life to AIDS. It's purpose is to carry Joeys endless spirit of joy, happiness, love and peace to individuals experiencing misfortune.

Objective:
The Joe Busam foundation will provide support to:

  1. Mentally, physically, emotionally, and developmetally handicapped persons in the Tri-State area.
  2. Induviduals or families of individuals who have been victimized by pedophile predators.
  3. Non-profit organizations whose primary purpose is to serve handicapped persons.

Qualifying Purposes:
The Joe Busam Foundation will provide financial assistance for the following needs when financial hardship is evident:

  1. Dire living conditions of mentally, physically, emotionally, and developmentally handicapped persons.
  2. Investigation, litigation, and /or counseling for victims of pediphile molestation.
  3. Enhancement and improvement by non-profit organizations in the quality of life of the handicapped person(s) they help.
